Product Description

The P2A PATRIOT 20" 5.56 NATO AR-15 Rifle - FDE is the definitive long-range choice within the platform lineup, custom-engineered to extract the absolute maximum ballistic performance and muzzle velocity from the standard 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge (and backwards-compatible with .223 Remington). This full-length precision tactical rifle utilizes an extended 20-inch premium barrel structure to achieve complete powder burn efficiency and optimal velocity yield over shorter carbines. Coated in a highly resilient Magpul Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote protective finish, this rifle implements a true rifle-length direct-impingement gas setup that smooths out cyclic pressures, controls recoil signature, and heavily reduces moving part wear for unmatched downstream consistency.

Every Patriot rifle configuration is machined to strict technical tolerances and factory headspaced to ensure flawless feeding and casing extraction under intensive field use. Out of the box, it transforms traditional AR-15 ergonomics into an elite precision asset built for structural longevity, defense operations, and exceptional distance tracking.

Key Features

• Durable Cerakote Magpul FDE Finish: Upper receiver, lower receiver, and rail components feature a rugged Flat Dark Earth Cerakote application for elite environmental sealing and a professional tactical style.
• 20" Premium Melonite Barrel: Precision-crafted from elite 4150 CMV steel and finished with a QPQ Melonite treatment for robust bore protection, elite surface hardness, and an extensive precision service lifespan.
• Optimized 1:7 Twist Rate: Fast twist profile engineered specifically to provide structural stabilization for heavy, high-ballistic-coefficient (BC) modern projectiles (such as 62gr, 69gr, and 77gr match loads), ensuring flat trajectories and uniform point-of-impact grouping at extended distances.
• True Rifle-Length Gas System: Tuned meticulously with a premium low-profile gas block to establish exceptionally smooth recoil cycling, minimized bolt carrier velocity, and optimal dwell times for precision target engagement.
• 15-Inch Modular Free-Float Handguard: Features a slim profile M-LOK rail geometry alongside a continuous top Picatinny track for mounting precision tactical optics, target designators, and bipods easily.

Why Choose This Product?

The P2A PATRIOT 20" 5.56 NATO Rifle - FDE entirely eliminates the ergonomic compromises and performance boundaries of standard carbine configurations. While short 16-inch platforms perform reliably, a full 20-inch barrel lets the 5.56mm cartridge achieve its true designed muzzle velocity, converting standard loads into exceptionally flat-shooting, long-range options that excel out to maximum distances. The addition of the true rifle-length gas block avoids over-gassing variables completely, dramatically smoothing out the cyclic operation while reducing shooter fatigue during intensive strings.

By relying on a direct-to-consumer manufacturer layout that is headspaced, timed, and inspected by tactical specialists, you avoid common component tolerances issues. Paired with a versatile 1:8 twist melonite barrel capable of handling accurate match projectiles, a mid-length gas system for a significantly softened recoil impulse, and a rugged 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard, this rifle stands as a relentlessly durable, fast-handling precision asset straight out of the box.
