Purchasing a firearm online/on our site is actually a very simple procedure and not as complicated as many believe. This guide will show you the procedure to purchase a firearm on our site and give you a better understanding of the process. All firearms in the USA must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. Firearms cannot be shipped directly to you. Depending on where you live, certain firearms are restricted and not legal especially AR-15s in certain configurations – it is best to check with your local and state laws before attempting to purchase one. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun, AR-15/AR-10 lower receiver or an AR-15 pistol. You must also be a legal resident of the state you are wanting to transfer the firearm to (only exception is military personnel on active duty). Please ensure item you are purchasing is legal and that you are allowed to own it as there is a restocking fee if item is sent back to us by your FFL.
Steps to purchase a firearm
Before attempting to submit an order, please contact a FFL holder of your choice (most choose a FFL holder near their residence or place of work for convenience) and inquire about FFL transfers. Be sure to inquire about FFL transfer fees as most FFL holders will charge a fee to receive and transfer a firearm for you. You can use this link: https://www.gunbroker.com/ffl/index to find a FFL holder in your area.
After selecting and contacting a FFL holder of your choice, you are now ready to submit the order online.
When checking out with a firearm, you will be taken to a FFL Locator Page where you can input your zip code to find the nearest FFL Holders in your area.
After choosing the FFL Holder of your choice, you will be taken to the final checkout page where the FFL's shipping info has already been transferred to the shipping address field. You only need to enter your billing info and payment info to complete the order.
It is recommended that you instruct your FFL Holder to send us their FFL paperwork to [email protected] or fax it to 1-800-856-3268 and reference your order number in order to speed up the processing of your order.
When we receive your FFL's paperwork, your order will be ready for shipment after the estimated processing time stated.
And is it as simple as that! Next you and your FFL holder will receive tracking info when the firearm has shipped.
**NOTICE**
The customer is ultimately responsible for knowing his/her state gun laws. Contact your local FFL dealer if you have any questions about the legality of the firearm you are intending to purchase. The customer assumes all responsiblity and cost for returned items due to FFL refusal to transfer or the customer's ineligiblity to own the purchased firearm.
